CLAYPOOL - A Lafayette man was injured Sunday when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving hit a tree on private property near Claypool.
Robert E. Mondero, 27, suffered cuts to his lower lip and chin and a sprained right hand. Information regarding medical treatment was not available this morning.
According to a report filed by the Department of Natural Resources, Mondero was operating the ATV in a private wooded area near the intersection of Ind. 15 and CR 600S when he went over a jump. He lost control upon landing and struck a tree head-on.
