ALBION – Whitko got off to a hot start, then held off a brief Central Noble second-half challenge to collect its second win in as many tries, 47-31 Tuesday night in Albion. Junior Aly Reiff hit eight field goals, including a trio of three-point shots, to lead all scorers with 21 points. Jennifer Reiff had 10 for the Lady Wildcats. Central Noble was led by Katie Vice with 14 points. Whitko opens its home schedule Friday night against Columbia City, a 53-39 winner over West Noble in the Lady Eagles’ season opener Tuesday night. Tuesday in Bourbon Triton fell to 0-2 after dropping a 57-25 decision to Argos in the Lady Trojans’ home opener Tuesday night. The junior varsity team beat the Lady Dragons 24-14. The Lady Trojans will host South Central at 8 p.m. Friday.
