SOUTH WHITLEY – Whitko’s Lady Wildcats opened the outdoor season with a 71-55 loss to Three Rivers Conference foe Southwood Tuesday. Suzanne Sickafoose was a triple-winner for the Lady Wildcats, taking the long jump and the 200 and 400-meter dashes. Brigit Nemitz and Elizabeth Foutz finished 1-2 in the 3200 and 2-3 in the 1600. Riley Insley was first in the pole vault. The 4x800 relay team of Olivia Stouder, Alexis Fortman, Taylor Reiff, Madison Cook also finished first. Fortman and Stouder finished 2-3 in the 800. Quinn Craig had second-place finishes in the 100 and 300 hurdles and was third in the high jump. Sidney Overmeyer finished third in the 400 for Whitko, as did Lindsey Sapp in the discus. Next up for the Lady Wildcats is the Whitley County Meet in Columbia City on April 7.
