Lady Wildcats Roll To 5-0 With Rout Of Peru In TRC Opener

PERU – Whitko got off to a fast start, leading 24-2 after the first quarter, and rolled to a 64-17 win at Peru in the Three Rivers Conference opener for both teams.
Aly Reiff outscored Peru by herself, hitting a trio of three-point shots en route to a 24-point performance. Brianna Cumberland hit four shots from beyond the arc and wound up with 16 points. Jennifer Reiff and Haley Yohe had seven points each, and Kennedy Krull added six for the Lady Wildcats.
With the victory Whitko remains unbeaten at 5-0, and 1-0 in the TRC. The Lady Wildcats will host Huntington North at 7:30 Friday night.

Dayton Groninger led the Warsaw Lady Tigers with 15 points, with Madi Graham adding 13 and Mariah Rivera 10 in Warsaw’s 55-50 loss at Fort Wayne Bishop Luers.
Warsaw made just four of 12 shots from the foul line, where the Lady Knights converted 23 of 29 from the stripe.
Now 0-2, Warsaw will travel to Akron to take on sixth-ranked (Class 3A) Tippecanoe Valley Friday night.

Triton’s Hannah Wanemacher had 10 points, including a trio of three-pointers, while Jaela Meister added eight and Shayla May hit a pair of treys for six points in the Lady Trojans’ 36-31 loss at Bremen.
After surrendering a first-quarter lead, Triton led again by three heading into the fourth period. Bremen outscored the lady trojans 17-7 over the final eight minutes to seal the win.
Now 0-4, Triton travels to Marshall County rival Plymouth for a game Thursday night.

Rachel Sand scored 17 points for Lakeland Christian in its 46-34 loss to visiting Churubusco.
Ellie Nieveen added eight points for the Lady Cougars. Carissa Urschalitz had nine rebounds, and Sand collected eight more for LCA.
The Lady Cougars will play their first road game of the season Thursday when they travel to Auburn to take on Lakewood Park.
