Wildcats 2nd at Kankakee Valley WHEATFIELD – Junior Nate Walpole had 20 points and River West added nine in Whitko’s 55-42 loss to Boone Grove in the championship game of the Kankakee Valley tournament Tuesday night. The Wildcats scored just four points the second quarter and four more in the third to allow boone Grove to pull away. In the semifinal, Whitko outscored Kankakee Valley 25-15 in the fourth quarter to take a 68-61 win. Walpole had 23 points and West added 18 for the Wildcats. Seniors Devon Adkins and Tanner Gaff had 11 points and six rebounds each. Whitko (5-5) will resume Three Rivers Conference play at Rochester Jan. 8.
