SYRACUSE – Less than a month into the season, Wawasee’s varsity girls basketball team has already matched its win total from last season. The Lady Warriors, who were 6-16 a year ago, improved to 6-0 Tuesday evening with a 47-41 win over the visiting West Noble Lady Chargers. Senior KiLee Knafel led Wawasee with a game-high 25 points, while sophomore Elizabeth Jackson added 11 points, freshman Kylee Rostochak scored six points and freshman Erin Wiktorowski rounded out the team’s scoring with five points. Haley Richardson led West Noble with 17 points, while Kelsie Peterson scored eight points in the loss. Wawasee is in action again Dec. 7 when it hosts conference foe Goshen.
