Lady Warrior Swimmers Open With Rout Of DeKalbSYRACUSE – Sweeping all 12 events, and taking second in 10 of 11 events in which it had a contestant, Wawasee rolled to an easy 140-30 win over visiting DeKalb in the Lady Warriors’ swimming season opener. Paige Miller, expected to sign a letter of intent with Purdue on Tuesday, was a double winner. She took the 200 and 500 freestyle events. Shelby Adams also won twice, in the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke. Alyssa Koch and Kaia Manning were also double winners for Wawasee. Koch won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke, while Manning took the 50 and 100 freestyle races. Wawasee takes a 1-0 record into its Nov. 22 match with East Noble in Kendallville.
