Lady Trojans Lead Roundup With NSC Win At New Prairie

NEW CARLISLE — The Class 1A No. 10 Triton girls basketball team remained perfect in the Northern State Conference Tuesday at New Prairie. Traveling to take on the winless Lady Cougars, the Lady Trojans picked up the 66-47 win, improving to 10-4 on the year and 4-0 in the NSC. Making 24 of 50 field goals, the Lady Trojans made 9 of 14 three-point attempts, led by sophomore Kylie Mason’s 6-of-8 shooting from behind the arc. Mason led the Triton attack with 22 points, followed by senior Shana Anderson’s 16 and junior Taylor Hatfield’s 14. Triton looks to improve its NSC mark to 5-0 Friday at home against Culver, the NSC’s only other undefeated team, followed by the boys game against the Cavaliers. In a game of Class 3A Sectional 21 teams, the Class 3A No. 5 NorthWood girls basketball team defeated Tippecanoe Valley 70-51 Tuesday night in Akron. The loss drops Valley to 5-9 on the season.
