Lady Trojans Dominate Jimtown To Lead Local Roundup

BOURBON — The Triton girls basketball team didn’t leave a doubt Saturday at home against Jimtown.
The Lady Trojans overwhelmed the Lady Jimmies 74-16, improving their Northern State Conference record to 6-0.
Triton can wrap up the outright conference crown Friday at  LaVille, who’s 5-1 in the NSC.
In the blowout victory, junior Taylor Hatfield had 23 points and three assists, sophomore Kylie Mason posted 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists, while senior Shana Anderson finished the game with 14 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Behind senior KiLee Knafel’s 33 points, the Wawasee girls basketball team posted its first Northern Lakes Conference win Saturday at home against Concord. With the 60-39 victory, Wawasee evened its season record at 9-9 and 1-5 in the NLC. The Lady Warriors are at Bremen Tuesday.

Melanie Kelsey scored nine points for the Lady Wildcats, who fell to 6-13 overall and 2-5 in the TRC. Whitko closes out its regular season Thursday at home against Lakeland Christian Academy.
