Playing in Mishawaka Monday, the Warsaw Lady Tigers won in five games, 20-25, 26-24, 24-26, 25-21, 15-7. In the tight match, Jamie Lacheta posted a match-high 32 kills to go with five aces. Also for Warsaw, Katie Voelz had six blocks, Chloe Hubner posted 56 assists and Alex Sanchez had a match-high 25 digs. The Warsaw girls golf team opened Northern Lakes Conference action with a pair of wins Monday at Elkhart’s Bent Oak Golf Club. In a three-way match, Warsaw shot a 191, while Northridge finished with a 215 and Concord shot a 231. Warsaw’s Morgan Sands was the medalist of the match, shooting a 47. It took a couple of three-set matches, but the Manchester boys tennis team pulled off a 5-0 win at Churubusco Monday. The closest matches were at No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles, where the Squires lost the opening set at both. At No. 3 singles, Brayton Spann bounced back from a 6-3 opening-set loss, to win the next two 6-2, 6-1. Riley Woods and Dalton Day fell 6-1 in the opening set at No. 1 doubles, but responded by taking the second 6-3 and third 6-4. The 2-0 Squires host Madison-Grant today then host Peru Wednesday.
