Warsaw’s girls tennis team took on a regional nemesis, Culver Academies, and came away with a 5-0 win Thursday at the Warsaw courts. The Lady Tigers had only one match go beyond two sets; Rosie Fleming and Grace Miller won a first-to-10-points tiebreaker in lieu of a third set because the outcome of the team match had already been decided. Liza Lewis and Collette Smith won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. Ella Knight won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, and Athena Schlitt and Hannah Rice won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles. Warsaw will wrap up its regular season Monday when it hosts Goshen. WARSAW 5, CULVER ACADEMIES 0 Singles: No. 1 – Liza Lewis (W) def. Kingsley Cortes (CA) 6-0, 6-0; No. 2 – Colette Smith (W) def.
