Lady Tigers Lead Roundup With Overtime Win At Memorial

Warsaw’s Lady Tiger basketball team earned a second consecutive road overtime win in the Northern Lakes Conference Wednesday night, this time beating Elkhart Memorial 45-44.
The Lady Tigers were down 15-4 at one point in the first quarter, and chipped away at the lead to eventually force overtime. Warsaw outscored Memorial by two, three and three points in the second, third and fourth quarters, respectively.
Head coach Michelle Harter now has 100 wins in her career. The victory also gives the Lady Tigers sole possession of second place in the NLC with a 3-1 mark.
Dayton Groninger led Warsaw with 16 points, with Pam Miller adding 11 off the bench. Madi Graham scored eight points, and Erin Clemens tossed in four for the Lady Tigers.
Next up for Warsaw, 10-7 overall, is a visit from NLC foe Goshen at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

After being down by 14 points at halftime, Manchester outscored Peru by 11 in the second half in a 54-51 loss.
Drew Thompson hit a trio of three-point shots on her way to 17 points on the night, and Cierra Carter scored 15 for the Lady Squires.
Manchester returns to Three Rivers Conference play  at 7:45 p.m. Saturday when it travels to Wabash.
