Lady Tigers, Lady Warriors Make All-NLC Softball Team

SYRACUSE — The 2011 All-Northern Lakes Conference softball team recently announced, with three Warsaw Lady Tigers making the cut and two Wawasee Lady Warriors also making the team. Finishing third in the conference with a 9-5 record, Lady Tigers named to the team were junior Kelsey Dotson, freshman Kaleigh Speicher and junior Kendra Marshall, while sophomore Alex Sanchez was named honorable mention. For Wawasee, who finished fifth in the conference with a 5-9 mark, seniors Mattia Rostochak and Ashley Truman were named all-NLC, with senior Shelby Newhard being named honorable mention. Goshen finished first in the conference with a 13-1 record, making Scott Hutcherson the coach of the year. Goshen and second-place Northridge also placed four players each on the all-conference team.
