Lady Tigers Finish Eighth At State Meet MARION — The Warsaw girls track and field day had a pretty good showing at Saturday’s Hoosier State Relays Indoor State Championship. Competing at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, the Warsaw Lady Tigers placed eighth overall and saw junior Ashley Erba win the 3200 in a state-record time. Taking the 3200 in a time of 10:47.34, Erba eclipsed the previous record of 10:50.38, set by Northridge’s Megan Jackson in 2006. Along with Erba’s victory, Claire Hickerson’s 10-6 clearance in the pole vault made her a state finalist with a fifth-place finish and the Distance Medley Relay (Anna Bearss, Megan Kratzsch, Brooke Kline, Erba) was also state finalist, placing fifth in 12:43.57. Also for Warsaw, Ann Harvuot finished 19th in the 55-meter dash, setting a new school record, as did the 3200 relay of Lilly Fleming, Kristin Quick, Ellie Bearss and Kline, who finished ninth in 10:01.66. The Lady Tigers begin their outdoor season today, hosting Columbia City.
