Samantha Alexander had the fourth-fastest 100-meter dash time in Warsaw school history, and two other Lady Tigers matched or set career-best marks in a 101-31 girls track win over visiting Goshen Tuesday. Alexie Day won the high jump, tying her career-best leap of 5-4. Mia Beckham lowered her best time in winning the 800. Other winners for the Lady Tigers were Emily Bailey in the shot put, Nikki Parrett in the pole vault, Audrey Rich in the 200, Brooke Rhodes in the 400, Claire Kehler the 1600 and Allison Miller the 3200. All three relay teams won, with the 4x100 squad breaking 50 seconds for the first time this season, and the 4x400 team recording its season-best time. Bailey was second in the shot put, and Rich was the runner-up in the 100. Dayton Groninger was second in the 1600, and Beckham second in the 400 and high jump. Abbi Curtis was second in the long jump, 100 and third in the 200. Others with second-place finishes were Maygan Bellamy in the 300 hurdles and Alexander in the 200. Third-place finishes were turned in by Day in the 100 hurdles, Kara Harness in the 300 hurdles, Anna Craig in the 800, Morgan Bruner in the high jump, Joelle Messenger in the pole vault, Shunterra Davis in the long jump, and Charlene Orr in the 3200. The Lady Tigers will travel to Indianapolis for the Southport (HS) Relays on Saturday.
