Posted
The Warsaw Lady Tigers hosted a seven-team girls golf invitational Saturday, finishing sixth with a four-player score of 416 at Stonehenge.
Despite playing on their home course, the Lady Tigers struggled a bit, as only one Warsaw player finished with an 18-hole score under 100.
Madi Graham led the hosts with a 96, while Delaney Wihebrink carded a 101.
Other Warsaw scores included Morgan Fuentes’ 107, Page Desenberg’s 112 and Madelyn Ray’s 120.
Homestead won the tournament in convincing fashion, shooting a 356 and beating runner-up Canterbury by 32 strokes.
Bellmont finished third at 397, followed by Bremen (398), Southwood (409), Warsaw and West Noble (469).
Homestead’s Makenna Hostetter was the match medalist, finishing with an 85 on the par-71 course.
The Lady Spartans carded scores of 85, 88, 90 and 93 en route to the team title.
Warsaw is in action again Tuesday at Meadow Valley against Northern Lakes Conference foes Goshen and Northridge, and then returns to Stonehenge Wednesday to play NLC foes Wawasee and Concord.
