Lady Tigers 3rd In East Noble Invitational

KENDALLVILLE – Led by three seniors that shot the best 18-hole round of their prep careers, the Warsaw Lady Tigers shot a 359 and finished third among nine teams in Saturday’s East Noble Invitational at Noble Hawk Golf Links.

Madelyn Ray led the Tigers with an 85, as her personal-best score was good enough to finish fifth individually.

Miriam Hagg and Julia Hildebrand shot 88 and 95, respectively, for their career-best rounds.

Izzy Ray and Grayson Kilburn fired 91 and 95, respectively, as Warsaw shot its best four-player team score of the season.

Huntington North won the team title at 348, followed in the top five by NorthWood (354), Warsaw (359), Concord (360) and Lakeland (360).

The rest of the field included Elkhart Central (382), Plymouth (410), East Noble (416) and Goshen (422).

Huntington North’s Amara Eckert was the medalist after firing a 4-over par 74.

Concord’s Lauren Boessler was the runner-up with an 80.

The Lady Tigers teed off this morning in the Canterbury Invitational at Chestnut Hills.
