MUNCIE – Manchester’s girls tennis team finished second in the Muncie Central Invitational Saturday. The Lady Squires beat the host Lady Bearcats 3-2 in the opening round and shut out Blackford 5-0 before falling to Mississinewa 3-2. Senior Allison Smith and juniors Karly Eichenauer and Leiah Brandenburg each won two of three matches. The No. 1 doubles team of Reilly Ruppert and Bethany Collett, and the No. 2 doubles team of Lydia Little and Kendra Auler also went 2-1. Manchester returns to Three Rivers Conference play today when it host Rochester.
