Hosting Fort Wayne Blackhawk, Carter had 24 points, 11 rebounds and eight steals, moving the Lady Squires season record to 1-13. Also for Manchester, senior Sydney Snep had 10 points and freshman Rae Bedke finished with eight points, four rebounds and three assists. Saturday in Rochester In its 63-53 Three Rivers Conference loss at Rochester Saturday night, the Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team was led by 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals from junior Caylie Teel. In the game, Valley put up 70 shots, making 24 of them, while Rochester was 22 26 of 63 from the field. The loss leaves Valley at 7-6 overall and 2-2 in the TRC. Up next for Valley is Wednesday’s home game against West Noble. GIRLS SWIMMING Saturday in Converse The Manchester girls swim team finished third at Saturday’s Central Indiana Conference/Three Rivers Conference Invitational, while Tippecanoe Valley was fifth out of eight teams. Host Oak Hill was the winning team with 437 points, followed by Rochester (364) and Manchester (162) in the second and third, with Valley tallying 120 points and Whitko scoring 25. Manchester’s Marie Pedersen was a multiple winner, taking first in the 200 free (2:11.83) and 500 free (5:54.42).
