Ladd Seeks Seat On County Council

Larry Ladd, Kosciusko County coroner, announced Friday his intention to seek a position on the county council as an at-large member.

Ladd, a lifelong Republican, is currently serving his second term of office as coroner and is prohibited by law from seeking a third consecutive term.

"I have appreciated the residents of Kosciusko County allowing me the opportunity of serving them the past seven years," said Ladd. "I hope to continue serving our county as a council member.

"As coroner, I conduct each investigation independently and in a thorough manner. As a council member, I would continue a conservative fiscal approach, and serve independently, fully assessing each budgetary need as presented to the council."

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he graduated from Warsaw Community High School and Western New Mexico University. He is the vice president/general manager of YBMC Corp. He graduated from the Kosciusko County Leadership Academy in 1989, is an Indiana Tissue and Eye Donation Designated Requestor and a former EMT with North Webster EMS.

Currently, Ladd serves as president of the Indiana State Coroner's Association.

He and his wife Sandra, a deputy coroner, attend Warsaw Community Church and live in Wayne Township.
