PIERCETON – Lakeland Art Association will hold its annual Spring Juried Show in May. Cash awards will be presented. Art work can be dropped off at the gallery from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 2. Artists will be notified of any work that is juried out, which can be picked up from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 6. An artist reception and presentation of awards will be from 2 to 4 p.m. May 17. Artwork should be picked up from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 30. Items remaining longer than 30 days after show closes will become property of Lakeland Art Association. Entry fees are $6 each for members, or four for $20. For non-members, cost is $8 each. All artwork must be original, created in the last five years, and never previously displayed in the gallery. All media are welcome. Entries have no size limit, as long as LAA is capable of displaying it in the gallery. Two-dimensional work should be framed, with a wired back for hanging. Lakeland charges a 30-percent commission on all sold work. The association cannot be held responsible for any damage to artwork, but all items will be handled with care. Lakeland reserves the right to photograph the exhibit and publish low-resolution photos for promotional purposes on its website and Facebook pages.
