KYLA Supply Drive A Success For Fellowship MissionsThe supply drive in the spring at Martin’s and Owen’s benefitting Fellowship Missions was a huge success, according to organizers.

Zach Leedy and Michael Hammer, students from Wawasee High School, organized the drive as part of their community service project for Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy.

The name of their project was “Pack the Mission.” The drive took place on March 23 at Martin’s and Owen’s in Warsaw.  The drive collected over $1,500 and an estimated couple thousand pounds of supplies. The supplies and monetary donations collected were given to Fellowship Missions in Warsaw.

“I am glad we did this drive as our community service project. It is great to see that we live in such a generous community that people will donate to a good cause. I am blown away by the amount of supplies and monetary donations we collected. Fellowship Missions is a great organization and I am ecstatic that we could do this drive to benefit them. My hope is that the supplies will provide Fellowship Missions with what they need for a long time,” said Leedy.

“We chose to support Fellowship Missions with our KYLA project because we wanted to have a large impact in Kosciusko County community. I’d like to thank everyone involved from the store managers to our volunteers for helping make our project a success. I am grateful for the leadership, communication and networking skills gained from our endeavor. The results of our project really show what a great community we live in,” said Hammer.
