Kurt Miller Agriculture Scholarship Honors TVHS StudentAKRON – The 2018 Kurt Miller Scholarship recipient is Jack Utter, according to information from Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation.

Utter will attend Purdue University to study agribusiness management. He is the son of Jack and Tammy Utter.

Miller passed away at the age of 17 three years ago as a result of a garden tractor accident. He gave back to his community by being a junior firefighter for the Burket Volunteer Fire Department. He was involved in the Tippecanoe Valley FFA and Beaver Dam 4-H Club.

Miller “cared deeply about agriculture and his community,” the release states. The inaugural scholarship presented late this spring honors TVHS students who display the same values that MIller had in his lifetime. His parents are Kyle and Melinda Miller.

Contributions to the fund are still welcomed and can be made in care of Kosciusko County Community Foundation, 102 E. Market St., Warsaw. Write “Kurt Miller Ag Scholarship” in the memo line of the check. Gifts can also be made online at www.KCFoundation.org/Donate.
