INDIANAPOLIS - The Kroger Co. announced that John Elliott has joined the company as manager of governmental relations, community relations and public affairs for The Kroger Central Marketing Area.
Prior to joining Kroger, Elliott worked as a foreign service officer for the State Department in Washington, D.C. He also worked for Inland Packaging Co., where he served as project manager for strategic projects and manager of international business development. Most recently he worked as an independent corporate public affairs consultant. Elliott has a degree in business management from Hanover College and is pursuing his master's degree in business from Butler University.
Bob Moeder, president of the Central Marketing Area for The Kroger Co., said, "We look forward to John's leadership. His extensive experience will be a tremendous asset in his new role."
The Kroger Central Marketing Area has 145 food and drug stores with 42 fuel centers operating under four banners: Kroger, Owen's, Hilander and Pay Less Super Markets, with locations primarily in Indiana and Illinois in addition to five stores in Missouri.
