Kosciusko Runners Association and the Kosciusko American Red Cross are partnering to host a 5K and half-marathon in Warsaw and Winona Lake. The 20th annual Spring Fitness Run For Fun 5K and half marathon is May 9 at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds. Registration is from 7 to 8 a.m. at the fairgrounds and the race begins at 8:30 a.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Red Cross. The title sponsor is Kosciusko Community Hospital. “This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever with a health and wellness expo with lots of giveaways,” said Bill Crane, race director. Lutheran Hospital will attend with signs and tips for safety and health. This year there will be goodie bags and new awards for top finishers. Anyone bringing a team of seven or more will receive a free entry to either the 5K or the half marathon. All entries must be received by KRA no later than April 11. Team registrations can me mailed to “Team” KRA, P.O. Box 572, Winona Lake IN 46590. With those entries it must be marked on the free entry “FREE” on the amount enclosed space.
