Kosciusko County Democrats are planning another protest, set for Labor Day.
According to a provided news release, the Sept. 1 protest will be “to demand that elected officials do the job that we elected them to do. Demand that they put working families first!”
The protest will be at the corner of Detroit and Center streets, Warsaw, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Families in Indiana are struggling to make ends meet, the release states. The lack of affordable housing, combined with skyrocketing utility, insurance and property tax bills have negatively impacted nearly all Hoosiers. “In place of help from our leaders, we get tax cuts for the wealthy, paid for by cuts to healthcare, social services and education. Instead of solutions, we get redistricting and attacks on Democracy,” the release states.
