Kosciusko County Winners Announced In 9-County Art Show

WABASH - The Honeywell Center in Wabash announced the winners of the 18th annual Nine County Art Show, sponsored by Robert and Ines Gillespie, with additional funding from Wabash County Arts Council.

Three Kosciusko artists were awarded first place in three separate categories. Rachel Edwards won first place with her painting titled "Life is Good!", Drew Rochette was awarded first place for his drawing titled "Leather Chair," and Christi Ziebarth was awarded first place in "Other Art Forms" for her work titled "Scrapworks Trio."

Lori Ann Biggs and Terry Armstrong both received honorable mention for their work.

In all, 77 pieces of art were selected for display from 185 works submitted by 72 artists. Top honors were given to artists in each of the three categories: painting, drawing and other art forms.

The exhibit will be on display in the Clark Gallery in the Honeywell Center through March 7 and features work from artists residing in Cass, Fulton, Grant, Howard, Huntington, Kosciusko, Miami, Wabash and Whitley counties.Awards will be presented to winning artists at the closing art reception March 7 at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served at this event, which is free and open to the public. The Clark Gallery is open to the public; artwork may be purchased through the Center's box office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
