Kosciusko County Special Olympic Athletes CompeteUPLAND — Special Olympics Indiana Kosciusko County athletes competed in the “Take It To The Hoop” basketball tournament on Feb. 16, sponsored by Special Olympics Indiana Grant County and hosted by Taylor University. Kosciusko County Director for Special Olympics Becky Walls stated the county’s Special Olympics Panther basketball team and skills participants competed against other area athletes in this regional winter tournament event. Results from the team basketball tournament in the first game, the Panthers lost to the ARC Raiders by a score of 31-7, then lost a close 26-19 contest the final game. In the skills competition, the following local athletes placed as follows in their respective divisions: James Mounout (1st place), Martha Sullivan (2nd), Michelle Ousley (2nd), Mary Bicknell (2nd), Sharon Singleton (3rd), J.D. Miller (3rd), Sandy Bibler (3rd), Sandy Hunter (4th) and Jim Nuell (5th).
