Kosciusko County Special Olympic athletes competed in the Area 5 Spring Games at Wabash High School on May 11, with local athlete Jerry Davis helped carry the torch during the opening ceremonies. Becky Walls, director for Special Olympics Indiana Kosciusko County stated that although it was a cold and wet day for the event, athletes worked hard at the meet with some preparing for the upcoming Indiana Special Olympics State Games, June 7-9 in Terre Haute.
