County and local law enforcement agencies participating in the Kosciusko County DUI Taskforce will continue to conduct roving patrols and sobriety checkpoints this month.
There will be roving patrols and a sobriety checkpoint beginning tonight at 10 and running through 2 a.m. at Homestead Backyard Grille, 9665 S. Ind. 15, on the north side of Silver Lake.
The project is made possible through grants received by the Governor's Council on Impaired and Dangerous Driving.
With the increase in traffic during the summer months, DUI: Taskforce Indiana is committed to making the roads safer by its increased presence and DUI enforcement throughout Kosciusko County.
DUI: Taskforce Indiana is a year-long statewide project aimed at reducing alcohol related crashes, deaths and injuries.
Law enforcement agencies involved in the checkpoints include Claypool, Mentone, Milford, Pierceton, North Webster, Silver Lake, Syracuse, Warsaw and Winona Lake police departments and Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
