LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Kosciusko County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 19, 2009 (EST) with a Presentation at 6:00 in the Old Court Room on the third floor of the County Court House at 100 West Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana, 46580. The purpose of the public hearing is to offer all interested persons an opportunity to comment on the Draft Categorical Exclusion prepared for the proposed intersection improvement to take place along Old US 30 at Fox Farm Road, west of Warsaw. This will also act as a Public Information Meeting for proposed, adjacent improvements including roadway improvements along Old US 30 between Fox Farm and Zimmer Road, and intersection improvements on Old US 30 at Zimmer Road. A Draft Categorical Exclusion, prepared to satisfy requirement of the National Environmental Protection Act, has evaluated the alternatives for environmental, social, economic, and engineering concerns. A roundabout has been identified as the preferred alternative for the Old US 30 at Fox Farm Intersection. The purpose of the intersection improvement is to provide for increased efficiency in movement of people and commerce in the western portion of Kosciusko County. The projects are needed to improve the mobility and safety of transportation along Old US 30. The public hearing will involve a formal presentation with project officials discussing the proposed improvements. A public statement session will be offered immediately following the formal presentation. Individuals interested in participating in the public statement session may sign the speaker's schedule prior to the presentation. Written comments will also be accepted, either at the meeting or afterwards during the comment period. All comments submitted regarding this project must be received or postmarked no later than December 3, 2009. All comments will be reviewed, evaluated and addressed as part of the Categorical Exclusion process. In an effort to allow as many speakers as possible the opportunity to speak during this public hearing, each speaker will be given 2 minutes in which to present their comments. The order in which speakers will present comments will be determined as speakers arrive.
