Posted

Kosciusko Community TNR (Trap Neuter Return), Warsaw, has been nominated for the first-ever Pet Friendly Community Choice Awards.
The awards are a statewide program recognizing organizations making Indiana more pet friendly through rescue, sheltering and community cat/TNVR efforts. Prizes totalling $24,000 in spay/neuter funding are available.
Presented by Pet Friendly Services of Indiana, the awards celebrate the organizations, volunteers and supporters working every day to improve the lives of animals and the people who care for them.
"We are honored to be nominated," said Cindy Lursen, president of KCTNR "This recognition belongs to our volunteers, supporters, colony caregivers, donors and community partners who make our work possible."
Public voting opened June 15 and continues through July 2. Community members are encouraged to support their favorite organizations by casting a vote online.
Since 2021, Kosciusko Community TNR has served Kosciusko and surrounding counties by spay and neutering over 2,000 feral and community cats, according to a provided news release. They have always worked with the Colony Caregivers to avoid financial hardship and tackle the problem together as a team.
The Pet Friendly Community Choice Awards will recognize outstanding organizations in categories including volunteer-based rescue, shelters and community cat/TNVR programs.
