Staff Report-
Kosciusko Cares announced Summer Film Camp – a free camp for teens 14 to 18 years old who live in Kosciusko County. The camp will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a to-be-determined location in Warsaw. An application is required to apply and 20 spots are available. The Kosciusko Cares adult coalition will select the 20 students to participate in the camp by May 1. You can find the application at kosciuskocares.org under programs. The camp will provide educational instruction on conceptualizing, writing, casting and shooting four short films around the themes of drug-free healthy living. Teens will receive instruction from Flowfeel Films’ Brent Kado and Jessica Hardy. Kado is a Columbia College Chicago film instructor. Kado and Hardy own and operate the Chicago Comedy Film Festival. In the second week of camp, teens will work hands on with local crew Bryce Fritzel and Moriah Magnus of Fritzel Media. The films will be used to create positive messaging in Kosciusko County using the model Positive Culture Framework developed by the Center for Health and Safety Culture at Montana State University.
