Korean Students Study At Grace Seminary

Posted
WINONA LAKE - The Grace Theological Seminary Center for Korean Studies continues to grow, attracting 46 Korean students this year who are studying for a master's degree or doctoral degree.

The students are mostly missionaries seeking graduate education in missiology and intercultural studies. Per capita, Korea sends more evangelical missionaries throughout the world than the United States.

The students in the Korean Studies program this year come not only from Korea, but also mission fields where they are ministering. These include Australia, Cambodia, Israel, Kenya, Myanmar, Tanzania, Thailand and other locations.

According to Tom Stallter, Grace Seminary professor and director of the Center for Korean Studies, the students enjoy their time in the United States and on the Grace campus."But they are eager students, looking to gain cross-cultural skills to help them in their missionary work and head back to the countries where they serve," Stallter said. He said the students are on campus for three weeks in May of each year.
