Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy member Bryce Smith recently organized ‘Kookies for Katherine,’ a cookie sale that raised more than $600 for the Cure JM Foundation, as part of his KYLA community service. Sacred Heart School staff and parents donated and packaged cookies that helped contribute to this fundrasier’s success. Katherine Alderfer, a 6-year-old Sacred Heart School kindergartner, was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis, an autoimmunity disease that affects only two out of a million children.
