During a ceremony in which 4-H members were recognized and awarded ribbons, Heidi Kolberg and Kyle Quick were named the 2011 Kosciusko County 4-H Queen and King respectively.
It was noted that the king and queen represent “inward values and actions.” But Kolberg and Quick couldn’t help but outwardly express their excitement at being queen and king.
“It’s an opportunity that I’m really privileged to be a part of, and I’m privileged to be a part of 4-H,” said Kolberg. “I feel honored. I’m looking forward to making appearances and helping out wherever I can.”
Quick said he also felt it was a great honor and opportunity.
“I’m obviously looking forward to the concert,” said Quick. “Everyone says that. But I’m also looking forward to seeing what goes on behind the scenes. Things I haven’t had a chance to see since I’ve been showing (animals at the fair).”
