Local attorney and former prosecuting attorney David C. Kolbe will teach American criminal law for the Turiba School of Business Law program as a senior visiting professor for the Center for International Legal Studies based in Salzburg, Austria.
The assignment lasts from Saturday to March 20.
The Center is a non-profit organization with purposes of legal training and dissemination of publications and has been in existence since 1976. The senior visiting professor program places attorneys from common law countries who have practiced 25 years or more in Eastern European and former Soviet bloc countries.
Kolbe previously taught American criminal law in eastern Ukraine for the Center in 2008.Kolbe is currently a private attorney in Warsaw and has 29 years experience in the criminal justice system. He previously served as prosecuting attorney for Kosciusko County from 1995-99. He is presently an adjunct instructor in political science for IPFW. He and his family reside in Warsaw.
