David Kolbe, candidate for the Indiana House of Representatives, District 22, has received the endorsement of the American Federation of Teachers Indiana. Federation President Rick Muir and Executive Director Sally Sloan said in the announcement, “The AFT Indiana Executive Board has reviewed your positions… on issues of importance to our members and has made endorsements regarding the November 4 election. AFT Indiana is happy to announce its endorsement of your candidacy.” Kolbe responded, “I humbly accept this endorsement. Public schools are the life blood of our communities and I fully support the hard work and dedicated service of our public school teachers, administrators and the large number of support staff at every level who work tirelessly on behalf of our children. I will diligently bear this in mind as I serve in the legislature.”
