Kohl's Department Stores will celebrate the grand opening of its new Warsaw store with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:45 a.m. Thursday.
The store officially will open at 8 a.m. The new store, at 590 W. CR 300N, just off Ind. 15N, Warsaw, will bring 150 jobs to the area. With the opening of a new store at 1290 E. Ireland Road, South Bend, the same day, the total number of stores in the state will be 29.
Kohl's, based in Menomonee Falls, Wis., is a family-focused, value-oriented department store that offers moderately priced, exclusive and national brand apparel, shoes, accessories, beauty and home products. Posted sales were $11.7 billion in 2004, and by the end of fiscal year 2005, Kohl's will operate 732 stores in 41 states.
Kohl's will kick off its grand opening with several consumer programs, including: A statewide, grand-opening sale, providing discounts throughout the store on national and exclusive beauty, fashion and home brands; and an incentive program providing the first 500 shoppers at each location with a free, custom-printed, limited-edition tote bag (shoppers must be 16 years old to be eligible for the giveaway, available while supplies last).
Kohl's also offers a store charge card, gift cards, bridal registry, easy-to-shop store layouts, shopping carts that double as strollers and centralized checkouts. Store hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Peter Sgorrano, Kohl's regional manager, said, "We're excited to expand our presence in this great community. Shoppers can expect great things from Kohl's, and we look forward to further serving families in Warsaw by delivering style, well-known brands, value and convenience."
In keeping with its long-standing tradition of supporting the communities served by its stores, Kohl's has made a commitment to Indiana through its "Kohl's Cares for Kids" program, which is focused on improving children's health and educational opportunities. Throughout the year, Kohl's features special items in its stores priced at $5 each with 100 percent of the net profits going to support health and educational opportunities for children across the country.
