Editor, Times-Union:
With all due respect, Mr. Editor, there are those who have submitted letters to your paper that were not printed and were not in poor taste as I’m getting phone calls verifying that since my letter appeared. Of course, opinions vary from one person to another.
When I called to ask you why you didn’t print my letter (the week before election) the two females I spoke with apparently didn’t know you were on vacation and when forwarding my call it was your voice at the other end so why it wasn’t there when you got back is anyone’s guess.
I’m glad you were amused by my letter but I certainly hope you aren’t referring to my letters as being “whacky.” If so, you’d better check your archives. My letters have always been informative, concise and to the point.
As for references to the “good ole boys,” I will leave that to Michael Alspaugh. He’s doing a great job.
