KENDALLVILLE – Junior Nate Walpole had 28 points, sophomore River West had 21 and senior Devin Adkins 16 in Whitko’s 74-73 loss at East Noble Tuesday night. The Wildcats were down eight after the first quarter, then came back to lead 40-37 at halftime. The see-saw affair continued after intermission as the Knights retook a 57-54 lead after three. Whitko outscored East Noble 19-17 in the final period but fell one point short. Senior Tanner Gaff pulled down 12 rebounds, and Adkins yanked down seven boards. Whitko will take a 4-4 record to the Kankakee Valley tournament Dec. 29, where they will play the host school at 11 a.m.
