The Knights of Columbus Father Francis Pitka Council 6323 of Syracuse recently made a $500 contribution to the Lake Area Community Band. The Knights sponsored a special bingo for the band at which they also collected food to be distributed to the local food pantries. Shown presenting the check (R) is Steve Hasse, Knights representative. Accepting the check (L to R) are band members Bridget Fryman and Gary McDaniel. The Knights of Columbus hold bingos at their hall in Syracuse every Saturday at 7 p.m. and once a month hold a food drive.
