Bob Knight waits for Wagon Wheel Theatre’s Director of Operations Will Dawson to make announcements at the first of two shows held by Knight Saturday.
Both his 6:30 and 9 p.m. shows Saturday night were sold out.
Knight, the legendary college basketball coach who won three national championships with Indiana University, entertained the crowds with stories of his childhood and coaching career.
Knight came out while Dawson was talking. When Dawson said he was from Kentucky, a rival to I.U., Knight joked, ‘There are some good things about Kentucky. There’s the Kentucky Derby.’ After that Knight paused for a bit, ‘Is there anything else?’
Linda Adams, State Farm Insurance, was the corporate sponsors for Saturday night’s shows.
