KLA Visits Chore-Time Brock

Posted
Kosciusko Leadership Academy met Tuesday at Chore-Time Brock in Milford. Mindy Truex, Creighton Brothers; Kelly Easterday, Purdue extension educator and Tom Lippi, Chore-Time Brock, presented to the KLA class insights into the business of agriculture in Kosciusko County.

Truex shared the history of Creighton Brothers, a family farm started in 1925, and how the farm has grown. She explained the fine-tuned process of egg production and that a major challenge of agriculture today is animal welfare activists.

Easterday showed a comparative analysis of agriculture in Kosciusko County. The county, with its good environment, infrastructure and diversity of production is one of the top three counties in Indiana in agriculture production.

Lippi discussed the expansion of the agriculture industry for Chore-Time Brock, not only in America, but all over the world. CTB has grain systems located in countries such as Mexico and Ukraine. In manufacturing almost everything themselves, CTB enjoys controlling the quality and design direction carrying out the company's vision of leadership through innovation.

KLA's next session, "Leadership Training" will be Nov. 13 and will be hosted by DePuy.
