KLA Class Graduate

Posted

The 2002 class of the Kosciusko Leadership Academy graduated last night at a banquet at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club.

Speaker for the event was Grace College President Ron Manahan who spoke about the importance of "emotional intelligence" as it relates to leadership.

Manahan noted that emotional intelligence comprises self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation and the ability to empathyize with others.

He said people who are proficient at those skills make the best leaders.

Further, he said, divisions of companies that have those types of people in critical posistions perform the best.

Emotional intelligence, Manahan told the KLA graduates, is twice as important as intelligence and skill when it comes to leadership.
