The Mentone/Akron Kiwanis club recently recognized the Burket/Mentone Cub Scout Pack 3782 as the growth of their pack nearly tripled. Part of the Kiwanis mission is to serve one community at a time. Pictured (L to R) are Cub Scout Leader Kris Shriver and Cub Scout Master Josh Mahler receiving a donation from Kiwanis secretary Penny Ramsey for support of their upcoming Blue & Gold banquet, which will in turn recognize Cub Scouts from their pack with awards and advancements for all their effort this school year. The Mentone/Burket Pack has scouts from Rochester, Akron, North Manchester, Warsaw, Burket and Atwood communities.
