Kiwanis Club Donates To KC-Ed

Posted
The Kiwanis Club of Warsaw recently donated $500 to Kosciusko County Educational Development.
KC-Ed is a local non-profit working to reduce drop-out rates at the four area high schools: Whitko, Warsaw, Tippecanoe Valley and Wawasee.
KC-Ed tackles the drop-out problem by recruiting mentors and graduation coaches, and connecting them to students who are at risk of leaving school. Mentors work one on one with students, while coaches work with students in groups of 12 to 15.
Students learn the importance of completing school and setting goals for their future, and are given tools and resources to succeed. To learn more about KC-Ed, visit www.thekced.com
The mission of Kiwanis is to serve the children of the world. Don Bergen, Kiwanis president, pointed to KC-Ed as one way the Warsaw club is able to achieve that mission here at home.
The Warsaw Kiwanis Club meets every Thursday at 11:45 a.m. at the Shrine Building. Visitors are always welcome.
