Angela Kiser was recently hired as the Life Enrichment Coordinator for Gardens at Lake City, an assisted Living Concepts residence.
In this position, Kiser is responsible for planning daily activites for the residents such as physical fitness, particular interest clubs and crafts as well as special outings and parties. Her goal is to enhance activites while creating variety to meet the many different interests of the residents. She is also responsible for the volunteer program at the house. Currently, there are approximately 10 individuals and groups of volunteers and she would like to continue to grow that number and include younger people from the community.
"I really love working with our residents at Gardens at Lake City," said Kiser. "They have so many wonderful life experiences and knowledge. I find them very interesting and love listening to their stories."
Prior to her current position, she worked in long-term care as an activities director and as a volunteer coordinator.
She lives at Chapman Lake with her husband of 20 years and one daughter. She enjoyes spending time with her family, volunteering in the community, walking, swimming and currently has returned to college full time to further her education.
