Kevin Lee Harris Jr., 34, of rural Warsaw, passed away March 1, 2024, at 10:01 a.m. from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
On Feb. 11, 1990, in Warsaw, he was born to Kevin L. Harris Sr. and Dawn Lee Harris. Kevin has lived all his life in the Warsaw area.
On May 21, 2022, he married Kylie Ann Rick and together, they shared the past two years.
Kevin was a polisher at Avalign Cutting Instrument of Warsaw.
He was a graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School with the class of 2008. He was very active in 4-H during his youth, a member of the Atwood Neverquitters and Junior Leaders. He was the 4-H Prince and 1998 Mr. Teen Kosciusko. Kevin had dedicated himself to the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and had earned his Black Belt in January 2024. He was everybody’s friend and coach at Relentless Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Warsaw.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Kylie Harris, of Warsaw; and his children, Harvey and Gwendolyn; parents, Kevin and Dawn Harris, of Warsaw; sisters, Tara Fuller and husband Chad, of Mentone; LeAnn Harris and Zach Naish, of Pierceton; nieces and nephews: KyLynn, Gabreil (Jazmin), Jasmine, Olivia, Gage, Sabrina, Gracen, Gemma and Gentry; maternal grandmother, Rosalie Lee, of Etna Green; and paternal grandmother, Phyllis Harris, of Warsaw; uncles, Tim Lee, of Mentone; Kim Lee and wife Crystal, of Warsaw; aunts, Robin Hoffer and husband Lyle, of Atwood; Kim Ann Rupley and husband Dave, of South Whitley.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandpas, Jim Lee and Dick Harris; and aunt, Cathy Lee.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, March 6 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Harrison Center Church, 965 CR 800W, Etna Green. Funeral services will follow at the church with Pastor Gary Richard.
