SYRACUSE - Kenton D. "Kent" Miller, 78, of Cromwell, died at 10:16 a.m. Sept. 24, 2009, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.

He was born May 30, 1931, in Fort Wayne, to Wylie A. and Cleo P. Householder Miller. On Nov. 21, 1951, in Ligonier, he married Norma Jean Price, who survives.

A lifetime Cromwell and Syracuse area resident, he graduated from Cromwell High School in 1949. He was a farmer and retired from Johnson Controls, Goshen, after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of the Cromwell United Methodist Church.

Also surviving are a daughter, Kenda Miller, Cromwell; a son, Randy Miller, Cromwell; six grandchildren; and a sister, Marilyn Plank, Cromwell. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with the Revs. Randy Miller and Marilyn Gebert officiating. Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell.

Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
